Gaz Métro is recognized for its originality, excellence and respect for the environment. A few of the prizes and awards that have been given by or to Gaz Métro over the past few years are described below.
On September 25, 2009, the jury for the KORN/FERRY - L’ACTUALITÉ - NATIONAL Québec Prize of Excellence in Corporate Citizenship named Gaz Métro Corporate Citizen of the Year 2009 in the Social Engagement category during the Tremblant Forum 2009. Gaz Métro was honoured for the redesign of its community investment program, including the realization of its groundbreaking community project, 80, ruelle de l’Avenir. 
Since it was launched in 1999, Gaz Métro’s Prix d’excellence Flamme Bleue has been very successful with the industrial design student population. Several new items and ideas have resulted from it. Various themes such as the mobile kitchen and the patio, pool, bleachers and greenhouse heaters have allowed students to perfect their natural gas knowledge.
Gaz Métro’s excellent performance was recognized at the Grands Prix québécois de la qualité awards ceremony, organized by the Ministère du Développement économique, de l’Innovation et de l’Exportation and by the Mouvement québécois de la qualité.
This campaign received many prestigious awards, including the Grand Prix Média de l’année (Infopresse) with the daily placements and a Grafika award (graphic design) for the residential brochure as well as for the Life in Blue TV commercials. The campaign also received the Marketer of the Year award in the services category from Strategy Magazine and was among Marketing Magazine’s top ten Canadian marketing enterprises.
The environment is of tremendous importance to Gaz Métro. For this reason, we were very honoured to have been nominated among the 2002 finalists and laureates of the jury’s Special Prize in the Quebec EcoGESte program. We also won the Prix de direction in 2002 in the MVR inc. oil and gas category – pipelines and gas distribution, and have received special mention for every annual report submitted.
